Lara du Toit
Lara has been practising massage therapy for the past 20 years. She opened Zermatt massage centre 14 years ago when she arrived in Zermatt. Her areas of massage speciality are deep tissue sports massage and reflexology both of which she studied in London at St mary’s university. Lara is passionate about healthy living and all areas of complementary therapy. Her other studies within this field include homeopathic medicine, nutritional therapy and counselling . She is currently undertaking studies in restorative exercise, yin yoga and restorative yoga. Lara likes to combine her knowledge and experience from all of these areas to provide a holistic approach adapted to your individual needs for optimal health and well being.
Jessica is a UK qualified physiotherapist (BSc Hons, MCSP) who has specialised in deep tissue sports massage and physiotherapy since moving to Zermatt in 2009. She utilises excellent treatment techniques and extensive experience to address each individual’s needs, whether their focus is on reducing pain in daily activities or optimising participation in sport at any level. Her other areas of expertise are lymphatic drainage massage and exercise therapy, including pilates for rehabilitation. She is a passionate sportswoman and gains enormous inspiration to run, cycle and ski from Zermatt’s stunning environment.
Julie is a British qualified Physiotherapist (Bsc Hons Physiotherapy, MCSP, MAACP) specialising in sports and deep tissue massage, western acupuncture and clinical Pilates. She utilises her vast experience and knowledge to provide holistic treatment that will meet each individual's needs. Julie has a strong belief in treating the body as a whole to provide pain relief or optimise sports performance. After working in London for three years she spent a further three years living and working in Verbier, Switzerland in the Winter, and Lombok, Indonesia in the Summer. This enabled her to combine her love for skiing, surfing, travel and the outdoors with her passion for hands on therapy and Pilates.
Katalin is a qualified medical masseuse since completing her studies in Hungary ,2010 . Whilst practising in an exclusive Salon in Budapest she learned many other massage techniques including deep tissue, thai flows , hot stone, lymphatic drainage and various other relaxing treatments which concentrate on body-soul and mind. Most recently she has been studying reflexology and is always looking to constantly expand her professional knowledge to be able to provide the best treatment experience for her clients.
Sarolta is a qualified massage and beauty therapist, make-up artist, and recreational sport therapist specializing in yoga, She also studied nutrition. She always strives to provide excellence in service and achieve unrelenting satisfaction for her clients. Her long term professional experience is extensive and includes high-end spas on cruise ships, Leading Hotels of the world, as well as private luxury Spa and Wellness settings, Her interests in holistic health elevates her service to an exceptional experience as she complements her work with reference to nutrition, physical exercises, stretching advice and skin care.
Julia is a German qualified massage therapist, she qualified as a masseuse in 2006, She specialises in deep tissue sports massages, reflexology, balinese massage, ayurvedic massages, hot-stone and various other relaxing wellness massages. To further her experience she has worked in various leading hotels of the world and was most recently employed as the spa manager in a luxury 5 Star Hotel. She believes that the body will come back into balance through massage therapy , without the need for medical intervention and strives to achieve this for her guests through her treatments.
Thierry graduated in 2002 from the ESO (European school of Osteopathy) in London, UK. Since he has been working as an osteopath in Private practice and hospitals in Europe, New Zealand, Australia and then Asia (Singapore) where he has been introduced to oriental medicine. He has been working in Switzerland in his private practice for the last 8 years and is doing osteopathic/anatomical research at the university of Fribourg. He is registered with every complementary insurance in Switzerland. Thierry can help you by releasing tension and blockages. Whatever the origin of those tensions may be - mechanical, physiological, emotional or psychological, Thierry will use gentle palpation to find those tensions, develop an osteopathic diagnostic based on his anatomical knowledge and use appropriate osteopathic technique (structural, visceral and cranio-sacral) to release them and give you back ease of movement, better comfort and harmony in your body and mind.
Haizea has been working as a health professional in the field of physiotherapy since 2008. She started in hospitals in Spain working mainly in the recovery of patients with neurodegenerative diseases, recovery of orthopedic injuries and injuries from traffic accidents. She then worked as a self-employed physiotherapist, collaborating with teams of osteopaths, acupuncturists and physiotherapists in private clinics and sport centres for 6 years in Catalonia. During this time she focused on treating musculo-skeletal issues and guiding classes of hypopressive excercices for the prevention and recovery of pelvic floor disorders. Haizea really enjoys working in manual therapy and believes in the essence of hand-work combined with the active role of the patients for the best recovery. Most recently she has spent winter seasons in Verbier as a massage therapist specializing in sports and deep tissue massage, and summers in Spain working at a sports clinic. Her passions include the outdoors, snow boarding , scuba diving and ashtanga yoga.
Becky Mc Lean
Becky qualified from The Robert Gordon university in Aberdeen, as a Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapist in 2009. Thanks to a passion for sports and the outdoors she soon developed a special interest in working with sports and musculo-skeletal injuries. She has spent many years working within private practice, alongside gaining experience in sport assisting at the Commonwealth games, Scottish Hockey and IPS para world swimming. She also spent 3 years working as a massage therapist in Verbier during winter, and as a rehabilitation therapist for the British Military during summer. Becky firmly believes a holistic approach is required to address each individual's needs. She enjoys using a combination of deep tissue, sports massage and myofascial release to help patients achieve their goals and address their pain. She is also a qualified pilates instructor, acupuncturist and has recently developed an interest in the use of both yoga and pilates as a treatment for pain.
Eve Harris is a qualified beautician and has been working with our team since 2013 when she opened her salon, Polished, within Zermatt Massage Centre. Eve is passionate about her job, very professional and always looking for new ideas. Eve works with top brands including OPI, AHAVA and JB lashes to name a few. Whether you are looking for a touch up or an indulgent treat she has got you covered. Leaving you feeling fabulous and relaxed. Primo is a British qualified Osteopath (MOst UK, GOsC registered) with previous experience in Vodder’s manual lymph drainage, sports and ayurvedic massage. According to a holistic approach that considers the body as a functional unit, the presence of tensions and restrictions within joints, muscles and tissues can alter body function and, if the stress in one area becomes excessive, can lead to pain. His goal as an Osteopath is to restore the balance of the whole body by addressing tensions and restrictions in tissues and joints using soft-tissue, Cranio-Sacral and structural techniques.
